The days of paying phone directory publishers hundreds for a simple listing in the
yellow pages is going the way of most print media. There is still a time a place
for utilizing print advertising, but with more and more potential customers using
the Internet to search for local area businesses, it is imperative to make sure your
business at least comes up as an option. There is quite an array of listing services
available on the Internet and since most of these services are free, there is no
reason not register with them, even if your business is already on their listing
service. By registering or “claiming” your listing, you will be able to customize
it by, for example, linking your website, uploading logos, creating coupons, etc.
